Letter from Joseph Chen,
Postdoctoral Scholar, former student
E. Y., West Point graduate
Sensei Siemong,
Thank you for all your guidance and lessons throughout the years. You were a big
mentor when I was growing up. You have not only taught me lessons in defense,
but lessons in life as well. You have given me leadership skills that I will need
at West Point. Thank you so much. You have made a great different in my life,
and I hope to in turn, make a difference in the world.
With great love and thanks,
E. Y.

Dear Sensei Siemong,
This is so insufficient to express my thanks to you for all you do in teaching Karate.
Our girls have learned so much and have grown closer to each other. Most
importantly, our Katie, who has a neurological problem, has been strengthened
in a way that physical therapy never could have - or did - help. You'll never
know our gratitude.
God bless you in all your work. We will do our utmost to continue some form of
Karate in Ohio and to make it back here for a class or two, and for Karate camp.
We hope that you will be blessed with many more years of teaching and that your classes
will continue to grow. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely,
Greg and Regina York
